Railway Empire is a strategy game developed by Kalypso Media for Xbox One. The game is set in the United States in the year 1830, where you must establish and manage your own railroad empire. You will have to purchase trains, build railway stations, factories, and tourist attractions to stay ahead of your competition. The game features an extensive campaign, where you can work your way from coast to coast across America, optimizing transportation of passengers and goods. You can also play in construction mode without any financial pressure.

Railway Empire offers over 40 historically accurate locomotives and more than 30 different wagons to acquire. You must put them to use in the best way possible to take advantage of their strengths and weaknesses. To progress and maximize the potential of your rail network, you can invest in over 300 new technologies across five different eras. In addition, you can compete with up to three rival companies and even sabotage their efforts with the use of bandits and spies.
